Club SOBO Community Standards
These standards apply to community posts, comments, business content, offers, What’s On submissions, social-content submissions, reports, and support messages.
1) Keep Club SOBO safe and local
- Club SOBO is for genuine Southbourne and local-area member value, business discovery, offers, events, loyalty, and community activity.
- Users, businesses, staff, and admins must use the service honestly, lawfully, and respectfully.
- Club SOBO may consider context, user impact, business impact, safety, repeated behaviour, legal risk, evidence, and platform integrity when reviewing content or conduct.
2) Content and conduct not allowed
- Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, hate, demeaning attacks, sexual exploitation, content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, stalking, doxxing, or privacy abuse.
- Fraud, scams, fake accounts, fake reviews, hidden endorsements, undisclosed incentives, misleading savings claims, misleading scarcity claims, or content designed to manipulate ratings, analytics, redemptions, loyalty, or business performance.
- Illegal goods or services, unsafe instructions, dangerous behaviour, violent extremist content, unlawful discrimination, copyright infringement, privacy infringement, or content that encourages others to break the law.
- Misleading financial, credit, insurance, investment, health, medical, legal, tax, age-restricted, professional, or other regulated claims, including content missing required authorisation, warnings, restrictions, eligibility criteria, or disclosures.
- Spam, scraping, credential sharing, security testing without permission, attempts to bypass QR/scanner/redemption controls, or misuse of member, staff, business, admin, or platform data.
3) Business and social media content
- Businesses must have the rights and permissions needed for logos, photos, videos, captions, music, audio, people shown in content, third-party creator content, offers, and event material.
- Club SOBO may label commercially connected content as Featured, Promoted, Ad, Sponsored, Paid partnership, or another clear equivalent where appropriate or legally required.
- Club SOBO may refuse, edit for formatting, hide, remove, noindex, stop using, or ask for evidence about business or social media content where there is a rights, privacy, safety, moderation, brand, platform, advertising, or legal concern.
4) Reports, takedowns, and appeals
- Users and businesses can report content, privacy concerns, rights issues, misleading promotions, fake reviews, safety issues, or suspected misuse through in-app routes where available or by emailing hello@clubsobo.co.uk.
- Club SOBO may preserve reports, source URLs, handles, timestamps, reviewer notes, takedown requests, removal notes, and related evidence for dispute, audit, fraud, safety, moderation, or legal reasons.
- Club SOBO may remove content, restrict features, pause scanner access, disable QR access, reverse benefits, suspend staff permissions, suspend or close accounts, remove listings, notify authorities, or take other proportionate action where reasonably required.
- Where appropriate, Club SOBO may provide a review or appeal route. Urgent emergencies should be reported to the relevant emergency services first because Club SOBO support is not an emergency service.
